Things You Need To Know About Maybelline.

Okay so last year before Christmas I told you guys that I was going to start reviewing the entire line. There are some interesting facts that you may not know about Maybelline. There are also health facts if you are questioning their brand I am here to settle those questions.
Maybelline was created by T.I. William in 1915. He was inspired by his sister Maybel when he saw her using Vaseline and coal to make her lashes look thicker. He named the company Maybelline a combination of his sisters name and Vaseline. It is now a huge worldwide company with many looks to on and off the runway. Their headquarters lies in New York but lets see how they got started. We know T.I Williams started it but how did it move further. In 1917 Maybelline release the first mascara and from there on made a huge hit. They were sold to Plough in 1967 and sold to many different company from there on. Maybelline got a boost when they hired wonder women Lynda Carter to be there beauty fashion coordinator. In 1991 they obtained they beauty slogan "Maybe she is born with it, Maybe it is Maybelline" and then in 1996 Maybelline was sold to L'oreal where David Greenberg is the current president of Maybelline.
Just a little history for you now for the health facts. Everyone has been raving whether Maybelline test on animals or not. I am here to settle that with facts and it sadden my heart but Yes Maybelline does test on animals. If you want to challenge my knowledge go ahead but it clearly states on PETA website that they do. I also read a section where they explain how companies get on the list. By the way it is the law that each cosmetic company needs to be examine every year to see what ingredient they use and other things. Back to the PETA list they send out a questionnaire to every company and that determines if they are on the list. You may not see some companies because they refuse to answer some of the questions. For all you gluten free people guess what? Maybelline does sell many gluten free products. I am not sure if all are gluten free but I know most of them are :) You may have to do a little research on there website they do list all the ingredients they use to make there products. But since I do not know much about gluten free stuff you would have to decipher that yourself. Also Maybelline sell hypoallergenic products their entire brand is not hypoallergenic but some of there products are. Again you may have to decipher that yourself.

I hope this help you guys out. I know I learned a lot just researching this for you guys.
Remember you are all beautiful

:)
